Description
The "Odd Fellows Building" was built in 1878, for $9,000 by Judge Ansel Clark, attorney and legislator, who for many years had his office in the corner office of the upstairs. The earliest photo available of the structure shows the Illinois Store on the ground floor and Clark on the second along with the Sterling Bulletin. The Odd Fellows lodge was also upstairs, according to the lodge records, moving up there on 1882.
