Sterling Style - The Cart Before the Horse

Title

Sterling Style - The Cart Before the Horse

Subject

Fourth of July

History -- Sterling, KS

Description

This one horse, rear engine buggy was the highlight of the Fourth of July parade in 1906. It is advertising Arnold Milling Co. Crystal Flour. Notable in the background in the derby hat is George Fox, Sterling's marshal for many years. The harness indicates that the vehicle is equipped with reverse gear.
