"Rick's Cottage" was one of two hotels located on Broadway in the late 1870's and stood at the present site of The Mosaic Temple. It was opened by lawyer J.H. Ricksecker in 1875. It was capable of housing 50 guests--and had a daily average of 35 in 1876.
